Link your Bitbucket Cloud account so SupportPages can read your repositories and pick up merged changes automatically. Once connected, you can choose which repo to track and SupportPages will draft changelog updates and help-centre content for you.

Prerequisites

  • A SupportPages account
  • A Bitbucket Cloud account with access to the workspace that holds your repository

Steps

1

Sign in to SupportPages

Open SupportPages and sign in with your account. If you are new, create an account first — you will land on your projects list when you are done.

2

Start a new project

Click New Project to begin setup. The first step is Connect, where you choose where your code lives.

3

Click Connect next to Bitbucket

On the Choose your repository screen, find Bitbucket in the source list. If it shows Not connected, click Connect on that row. You will be taken to Bitbucket to sign in and approve access.

4

Approve access on Bitbucket

Sign in to Bitbucket if asked, then approve the request so SupportPages can read your repositories and set up webhooks for merged changes. When you are finished, you will return to SupportPages automatically.

5

Open your Bitbucket repositories

Back on Choose your repository, Bitbucket now shows how many repositories you have access to. Click the Bitbucket row to open the list.

6

Connect a repository

Find the repository you want SupportPages to watch and click Connect next to it. SupportPages sets up a webhook on that repo so merged pull requests trigger automatic drafts.

Continue setup

After the repository connects, continue through the setup steps. SupportPages will analyse the code and get your help centre ready.

Tips

  • SupportPages only requests read-only access — your code is analysed in a temporary sandbox and is not stored.
  • If you need access to more repositories later, use Add more Bitbucket repos at the top of the Bitbucket repository list.
  • You can also connect Bitbucket when adding a repository from the Connect a GitHub Repository screen on an existing project.

Summary

You have linked Bitbucket Cloud to SupportPages and chosen a repository to track. Merged changes in that repo will now flow into draft updates you can review and publish.
